Gaga over sb/sth
八月走到了尾声，夏天就快过去了。回顾这个火热的盛夏，热中之热非超级女声莫属。连在海外的华人都追着看超女，其影响力之大可见一斑。
说实话，我不理解为什么这个节目会让那么多人疯狂，不过它倒是让我想起一个词组：go/be gaga over sth.
Gaga其实就是crazy、nuts的意思，它的定义是：1. Silly; crazy. 2. Completely absorbed, infatuated, or excited. 所以go gaga over sb/sth等于“为某人/事疯狂”。
可能因为gaga听起来蛮滑稽的，一般说到go gaga over的时候都多少带有一种戏谑的口吻。比如你有个朋友痴迷刘德华，张口闭口就是“我老公华仔…”，你就可以说她是gaga over Andy Lau。如果话题相对比较严肃、不适宜拿来开玩笑，一般不会用gaga。比如我就从来没听到有人讲gaga over工作或者某种宗教信仰。
编段对话来举个例子：
A: So who’s your favorite super girl? （哪个超女是你的最爱？）
B: Zhang Liangying. （张靓颖。）
C: Li Yuchun. （李宇春。）
B: Are you kidding me? Zhang is so much better than Li. （有没有搞错？张冠李戴。）
C: I don’t care. As far as I’m concerned, Li is the best. （我不管。我就是喜欢李。）
A: Interesting. Looks like boys are all crazy about Zhang, while girls all go gaga over Li. Hmm. （有意思。似乎男生都支持张，而女生都为了李而疯狂。）
