strike a chord
经常有人问我“引起共鸣”用英语怎么说，这两天又有一位朋友问起。想想干脆贴上来吧。

strike a chord - evoke a reaction, response, or emotion; “This writer strikes a chord with young women”; “The storyteller touched a chord.”
strike a chord
to cause you to realize that something is connected to you in some way. The characters in the play strike a chord because their speech and their reactions are like ours.
比较奇怪的一点是，google一下strike a chord，竟然会问是否要搜索strike a cord。印象里google好像从来没有给过这样的错误拼写提示。
